Hepimizin yüreklerinde bir takɪm
Taksim Meydanlarɪmɪzı battɪlar.
Dövme gibi ciltimlerimizin üstünde:
geçmişin dehşeti.
Zira şimdiki asɪrda avarelik boş
anlamasɪ zor, bederler her yerde buhran geçiriyorlar.
Şiir alanɪ başkalaşmak lâzɪm,
iliklerine kadar bir çɪğlɪğı
hizmet etmesi için.
İsteri, felsefeli sinir ağrısı filozofik.
Histeri ümit yine geriledi, nefesi donmuş.
Bu zayıflamıs ve sarhoş dünyaya barɪşı getiren, kahraman kim olacak?
Cahillik, körlük ve karışıklık yönetiyorlar bizi.

There are numerous Taksim Squares
etched in everyone’s heart.
Like a tattoo on our skin:
the dismay of the past.
Inaction is obsolete as the present is
difficult to understand, values are in
crisis everywhere.
Poetry has to be transformed
in order to serve as a howl
cutting to the bones.
A hysteria, a philosophical neuralgia.
Even the hope recoiled, the breath froze.
Who will be the conciliatory hero of this emaciated, drunken world ?
Idiocy, blindness and disarray command.
